Clinical Laboratory

The laboratory is a very vital, yet often unseen, link in the health care team. The variety of tests performed in the Boscobel Area Health Care laboratory play an important role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

Clinical lab

Many medical conditions have similar symptoms and laboratory tests help your physician to make an accurate and timely diagnosis so that the proper treatment course can begin right away. Still other medical conditions have no symptoms at all and laboratory testing can help to detect these conditions early on, when treatment is most effective and damage to overall health is minimal.

BAHC Laboratory

Laboratory tests may be conducted on samples taken from a patient's blood, tissues or other body fluid types. They range from the very simple to the very complex. Our laboratorians are highly trained clinical laboratory scientists called medical technologists or technicians. These individuals assume responsibility, and are held accountable for, prompt, accurate results. They establish and monitor quality control programs and design or modify procedures as needed. In addition to clinical services, our laboratory works with area businesses and industries, helping employers meet Federal and State requirements, provide employee health screenings, implement wellness programs or assist employers with return-to-work programs. Our laboratory is accredited through the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services.
