BAHC to Hold a Holiday Open House at Riverside Family Practice

Boscobel Area Health Care will hold a Holiday Open House at Riverside Family Practice on Friday, Dec. 2nd from 4-7 p.m.

The event will include a visit from Santa, chair massages, holiday refreshments, door prizes, blood pressure checks, awards, and a meet and greet with new providers.

Boscobel Area Health Care will recognize two individuals for their outstanding contributions to health initiatives in the Muscoda and Blue River communities. The "Community Health Ambassador" awards will be presented at 5:30 p.m.

The event will also include a "meet and greet" with new providers Tammy Plondke, APNP, and Nicole Schopf, APNP.

Plondke will be working three days a week at Riverside Family Practice, and two days a week at BAHC Urgent Care/Walk In Care. Schopf will be working at Bluff Street Clinic in Boscobel two days a week, and at BAHC Urgent Care/Walk In Care two days a week.

The additional providers means Riverside Family Practice will now be open five days a week, with extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Jean Tobin, PA-C at Riverside Family Practice, will continue her practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

"We are very happy to welcome Tammy to our Riverside Family Practice team," said Stephanie Wanek, Director of Nursing and Clinic Manager for Boscobel Area Health Care. "We are working hard on expanding options for care in the Muscoda community. We are looking forward to having the clinic open more days and expanding our hours."

As a nurse practitioner, Plondke can provide a variety of primary care services at Riverside Family Practice: Diagnose and treat illnesses; manage chronic diseases; prescribe and manage medications; perform well-child checks, sports physicals, and annual exams. She is qualified to care for a patient through his/her entire lifespan.
