Open House at Riverside Clinic on March 26, 2009
Riverside Family Practice will hold an open house on March 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 for the public to meet Jeanne Tobin, PA-C. The open house will include refreshments, blood pressure checks, BMI and Body Fat Composition screenings, and educational literature about nutrition and preventative screenings.
Tobin says she has already met many people from the Muscoda and Blue River area, and looks forward to visiting with the public at the open house.
Tobin has been providing medical care at Riverside Family Practice since September. She works in Muscoda two days a week, offering extended hours (until 6:00 p.m.) both days she is there.
Tobin is originally from Southwest Wisconsin, and says she is happy to return here to provide medical care. Tobin was born at Boscobel Area Health Care and is a graduate of Fennimore High School. Tobin plans to take her 13 years of experience in medical care and her love and knowledge of a small town to make a difference in the communities she works.
Tobin said she went into healthcare because she was very sick as a child and understands the importance good health plays in a person's life. "As early as the age of six weeks I was making regular trips to UW-Madison," she says. "I know how important it is to have a trusting relationship with your medical provider."
Tobin has seen a wide variety of patients in her healthcare career. "A physician assistant's training is very broad – everything from newborns to geriatrics."
"I really enjoy the variety that Family Practice offers and the opportunity to treat the whole patient. The bond between patient and primary care provider is truly unique and very rewarding," Tobin explained.
