Expanding to Meet Your Needs

Boscobel Area Health Care is expanding to meet the medical needs of the community. Part of this expansion includes a 10,000 square addition that will feature state-of-the-art technology and allow increased space for services.

Ground breaking was held July 17, 2007. Construction will be complete in April 2008, and the new addition will be open to the public in May 2008.

The new addition will allow for:

  • Expanded emergency services, including new technology, increased patient privacy, and additional exam rooms.
  • Centralized access for emergency, urgent care, and diagnostic services.
  • A Walk-in Care Clinic that operates during non-clinic hours.
  • Increase availability of Visiting Specialists, with five exam rooms available for office visits.
  • A special decontamination room for chemical spills and other bio-hazardous emergencies.
  • A double ambulance garage and new helicopter pad.
  • Additional patient parking and expanded waiting room area.
  • Centralized entrance and registration area for hospital in-patient, out-patient, and emergency care.

The new addition is part of a two-phase expansion program for Boscobel Area Health Care. Phase I, the construction of the new addition, will be complete in April 2008. Phase II will include remodeling of the existing structure to update and expand diagnostic services and surgical care.

Construction for Phase I and Phase II has been designed to ensure no interruption in services at Boscobel Area Health Care.

The expansion is funded through a combination of conventional financing, BAHC Resources, and a capital campaign drive.
