Boscobel students attend medical exploration day
Boscobel Area Health Care sponsored three students to attend the Medical Exploration Day at UW-Platteville on November 8, 2008. Seniors Jodie Haney and Jeremiah Dilley and Freshman Brittnie Peer spent the day learning about different medical professions, including pharmacy, nursing, lab technician, physician assistant, physical therapist, optometrist, dentist, and chiropractor. ABC's of Alzheimer's and Dementia
Three part series for families that provides information on Alzheimer's disease, and caring for a family member affected by the disease. Strengthening Families class in Boscobel
Strengthening Families, a nationally renowned program designed for parents of teens, will be offered in Boscobel. The seven session class begins October 14th, and will be held every Tuesday through November 18th at Boscobel Schools. There is no cost to participate.This session is sponsored by the Grant and Crawford UW-Extension, S.A.F.E. Memory walk to raise awareness, funds for Alzheimer's education
Boscobel Area Health Care has joined forces with the Grant County Alzheimer's Association to raise money to support individuals with Alzheimer's and their families. BAHC is a gold sponsor and one of 25 teams that will participate in the Grant County Memory Walk on September 13, 2008 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Congregation Church in Lancaster. Wellness Walk to be August 21, 2008
"Walk Your Way to Wellness" is the theme for the third annual Sanders Creek Wellness Walk, set for August 21st from 5-8 p.m. Registration is from 5-7 p.m. at Scout Cabin Park, with the course open until 7:00. Participants can walk the 2.5 mile course at their own pace, visiting wellness stations and participating in screenings along the way. Read full article.

Advance Directives
Boscobel Area Health Care will have social workers available at the Grant County Fair to help individuals complete advance directives. This important service is free of charge and available to anyone over 18 years of age. Read full article.

Doc Randall Golf Outing Sept. 6
The seventh annual Doc Randall Golf Outing, sponsored by Boscobel Area Health Care Foundation, is scheduled for September 6th at the Prairie du Chien Country Club. Nursing home residents raise money for flood relief
