Alumni Basketball Tournament - March 24, 2012

Boscobel Bulldog alums - men and women - will want to start practicing lay-ups and begin stretching exercises after they register to play in the Fourth Annual Boscobel Alumni Basketball Tournament fundraiser on Saturday, March 24th at the Boscobel High School.

The one-day fundraising event is sponsored by the Boys Basketball Club, Bulldog Blast Girls Basketball Club, and Boscobel Area Health Care Foundation. Proceeds will be used to support the activities and missions of the three organizations.

"The alumni tournament is a great event for the community. It's a fun day that is loaded with entertainment. As the tournament continues to grow each year, it allows for more and more alumni to be involved with basketball program and BAHC," said Skyler Reynolds, Varsity Basketball Coach.

Proceeds from the 2011 event were used by the boys and girls basketball clubs to purchase a Shoot-A-Way automatic shooting machine. The Boscobel Area Health Care Foundation used its share of last year's funds to purchase new functional training equipment for the Rehab Department at the Hospital.

Responsibilities for the event are also shared among the three organizations. The boys and girls clubs recruit players, assign players to teams, and arrange for officials. The BAHC Foundation is in charge of sponsorships, publicity, and registrations for the tournament.

The cost to play in the tournament is $15, which includes an event tee shirt. For more information, contact Skyler at 608-375-4161 ext. 2352, or Cherryl Knowles at 608-732-3153.
